Love Furniture is a full-line store

Love Furniture, Appliances & Carpet, located at 116 S. Huntington St. in uptown Syracuse, is a Complete home furnishings store. The family-owned business carries a full line of name brand furniture, appliances, and carpeting, including: La-Z-Boy recliners; Sealy bedding; Armstrong flooring; Cabin Crafts Carpeting; Maytag washers, dryers, ranges, and dishwashers; Norwalk sofas, chairs, and sleepers; Sharp microwave ovens; and Gibson refrigerators and freezers. Love Furniture carries all styles: Contemporary, Early American, and Traditional. Man-made materials are continuing to be the most popular carpet and upholstery products. The furniture store has a special order room in its three-story structure with large fabric samples for customers who are looking for a special one-of-a-kind design. The store was founded in 1965 and is owned by Gerald and Dina Hubartt, their son, Rich, and his wife, Lisa, they believe good service and a good reputation have been the most important aspects of the business.

Sturonjac: Building quality buildings

After 13 years in the construction business, Sturonjac is still growing. Much of the notoriety comes from the company’s quality work and service given to each customer. Neither item is ever sacrificed by the North Webster company. Quality is what Jack Rhoades and Ron Richey use as motivation. They pride themselves in doing the job right and pleasing the customer. According to Richey, the main service provided by Sturonjac employees is remodeling. The company remodels nearly anything, regardless how basic or extravagant the job may be. Sturonjac has built room additions to houses, added second stories to houses, and garages and even built or remodeled bathrooms and kitchens. “We really pride ourselves in making the remodeled room (addition) look like it has always been there,” said Richey. “We do not want it to look like it was an addition. ” Other jobs performed at Sturonjac include light commercial work and constructing new homes. With all Sturonjac projects, a complete designing program is offered to the customers. The process allows the clients to see the process before Sturonjac moves ahead with the actual work. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursdays; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Roofing, Too Walker’s Roofing Co., which is now a division of Sturonjac Builder’s, is how the firm actually started. With 19 years in the roofing business, Walker’s Roofing Co. is one of the most experienced roofing companies in the area. Richey runs the roofing business, while Rhoades is in charge of the construction. While the roofing firm still installs shingle roofs, its flat roof application has been going through a change. It still installs hot asphalt built-up roofs, if required; however, Walker’s Roofing Co. has been installing more EPDM membrane on its flat roofs in the last couple of years. The new product offers a more effective, longer lasting flat roof, and Walker’s Roofing also uses it very effectively on mobile home roofs. Beth companies work all year around, although the owners cut back the number of employees. Presently there are nine fulltime employees. Richey noted the number will increase to 15 by summer. Sturonjac Builders/Walker Roofing has become a well-known name in construction and 'oofing in the Lakeland area. Service and production are the main reasons.
