Expansion is planned for Beaty/Century 21
Century 21, which started in Syracuse in a small Lake Wawasee office, has developed into a franchise realtor in 1988. Growth and service has characterized Beaty Realty/Century 21 since its beginning. The Syracuse-based realtor deals with residential, commercial and lake property in the area. It’s also a member of the Kosciusko County Board of Realtors and the multiple listing service. Last year was an excellent year for Beaty Realty, and with the success, it plans on expanding its staff substantially in the months ahead. Many changes took place in the past year with the addition of Sandi Beaty as a stock holder and new manager of the firm. The corporation is owned by Richard Beaty, Robert Beaty, both of Huntington, and now Sandi Beaty who will head up the operation in this area. Presently Beaty has five sales associates — Linda Jaggers, Carole Neat, Mary Hippe, Annette Larson and Jeanine Hunziker. Incidentally, Jaggers heads a new department at Century 21, the property management division. The division deals with seasonal properties and monthly rentals. The program is just another way Century 21/Beaty Realtors is working for its customers.

Interiors by Design can save people money
“Some people have a misconception about how expensive it is to work with an interior designer,” says JoAnn Pasko, owner of Interiors by Design in Syracuse. “The fact is, most people have expensive taste. But in general, by working with a designer, the designer does the work for you. It is somewhat of a shop-at-home type of service. No more running from store to store to shop for all your decorating needs. Also, by working with a designer, you can achieve a more “custom” look to your surroundings.” Pasko, who works by appointment, will visit persons in their homes, take notes and measurements of the rooms to be decorated and then return to her studio where she will put together a total decorating package. This package includes everything from floor plans to carpeting, wallcoverings, custom window treatments (draperies, blinds, etc.), furniture and accents. In her studio, Pasko has over 700 fabric books and 300 wallpaper books. If looking for something in particular, she has access to the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. An appointment at Interiors by Design means an appointment with an experienced interior decorator. Pasko lived in Chicago for four years, where interior design was
Another example of\growth is the complete remodeling project at the multi-office complex on SR 13 south-of Syracuse. Sales associates have quality working conditions, which aid to their productivity. Another facet that should be a big boost to Century 21/Beaty Realtors is a new program designed by Sandi Beaty — video house sales. Beaty plans on video taping houses that the firm is listing for use within the office. Customers will be able to view houses prior to visiting them. The new technique in house sales should make house buying more convenient for the customer. This technique is unknown to area realtors, which gives Century 21 sales associates the edge in the market. They can offer more services to their customers and move them into their home more efficiently. The video taping process has been used in many larger markets, and has been successful. Beaty Realtors expects this to be very successful in Syracuse. Without a doubt, Century 21/Beaty Realtors is on the move. It has become very aggressive in the house purchasing market, but doesn’t compromise quality in the process.
her vocation. She then moved to Syracuse and worked at a furniture store in a nearby town. A few years ago Pasko purchased “The Designers Touch,” a private design shop Located in Warsaw. Pasko changed the name and moved the studio into her home in Syracuse. On January 1, 1987, she moved her business into its present location at 101 E. Main Street. / '-I'; Pm WSW r rf 7 / / /' / / I / //■ r. f s /./
