ANTHONY P. HASSE Airman Anthony P. Hasse, son of Paul R. Hasse, 925 Medusa St., Syracuse, and Susan E. Brauer, 1000 W. Wilden, Goshen, has graduated from Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He ’is a 1987 graduate of Wawasee High School. JOHN A. GARDNER Pvt. John A. Gardner, son of Harland D. Gardner of Millersburg, and Phyllis S. Gardner of Syracuse, has completed One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at the US Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Ga. OSUT is a 12-week period which combines basic combat training and advanced individual training. The training included weapons qualifications, squad tactics, patrolling, landmine warfare, field communications and combat operations. Completion of this course qualifies the soldier as a

Affidavit a must to get handicapped plates The Syracuse License Branch has issued a reminder concerning handicapped license plates. Those needing to obtain a handicapped plate are reminded that an affidavit is needed from their doctor. Officials at the license branch have stated that a handicapped plate cannot be issued without the affidavit.
Sunday afternoon between the hours of 2 and 5. The center was founded on Feb. 9,1964, and was organized as a community project for the youth of the area. Only a few short days ago its headquarters were moved from the basement of the Pickwick building on Main Street to a new structure located on highway 13 south of town. Beck township trustee said this week that Maurer and Maurer architects for the addition to the school building will have the completed blueprints ready by the end of March. At that time bids will be prepared for building contracts.
