Ministerial association plans for Lent, Good Friday, Easter
At its February meeting the Syracuse-Wawasee Ministerial Association completed plans for its 1988 Lenten programs, the first of which will be held on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church just south of Syracuse. The featured speaker at this program will be Marge Miller. As a Christian mother, Mrs. Miller will be telling of her personal experience in bringing a son with AIDS home to die. The reaction of her local church is an important part of the experience. The number of persons contracting AIDS is increasing and it is important that persons look beyond prejudice to become more informed not only in the nature of the disease but in what appropriate and helpful responses are from a community to suffering individuals and families. Other Lenten series dates include the Grace Belles of Grace College singing in connection with a 7 p.m. service at Wawasee Lakeside Chapel on March 6. The
