Box 1027, Detroit, Mich. 48231, postmarked or delivered no later than Jan. 17, 1988. Such a request must state the specific reasons a public bearing should be held. According to an addendum to “Wetlands, Indiana’s En-

The process for selecting state projects awards points for those that protect natural resources including wetlands.

The jolly elf spent much of his time in the Lakeland area early this week, as children of all ages revealed their Christmas lists and gave a final tug of the beard. Santa made his last stop to “The Mail-Journal" office this morning to ask us to remind the children to be good. Latching up his reindeer, he then took the long trip back north where he will rest his legs from a lot of lap sitting and practice inhaling for his trips down the chimney tomorrow night.
