■ TV NOTE BOOK By Bob Curtis Western shows no longer dominate the TV screen as they did a few years ago. There is a sizeable group of viewers, however, that miss such well done shows as “Bonanza” and “Gunsmoke”. We suspect that westerns will maintain their popularity via reruns for as long as TV broadcasting continues. There’s alot of satisfaction for many of us in watching a story unfold where we know in advance that right will triumph, the bad guy gets his come-uppance and the good guy gets the girl. . Incidentally, the term “cowboy” originated during our Revolutionary War and applied to traitors who lured patriot farmers into ambush by ringing cowbells to sound like straying cattle ... a trick our western hero-type cowboy would never stoop to using! We’re famous for our honest deals. We offer the best in modern TV sets at low, competitive prices. Drop in and see for yourself.
