The meeting was called for the purpose of discussingvthe new tax levy of .98 on the hundred dollars, which is the result of the towns recent incorporation. L. Kline and S. Daley, respectively were elected to -act as chairman and secretary of the meeting and at all further meetings. In attempt to dissolve the corporation and to ask the county tax board to lower the present tax levy the meeting was called to order. Many of the free holders voiced their opinion on the tax levy and expressed the belief that the rate is an exorbitant one. In an independent survey recently conducted, it was shown that of the ninety-two taxpayers, thirty are unable to meet the increase in taxation.
