The Ladies of the Round Table is a Federated Club in Syracuse which was formed in January of 1923. Nine Syracuse ladies met in “The Sign of the Kettle,” a popular Syracuse tea room, to form a reading club. visit factories or businesses, to eat in a well-known restaurant, oj to visit some special point of interest. At one time, the club had its own chorus which sang at many meetings. In 1926, members formed the Junior Ladies of the Round Table — especially for young girls of the town. This group continued to be in existence until the late 1960 s or early 19705. Through the years (over 63 of them), there have been many money-making projects held, with the proceeds being donated to further some community effort or for community improvement. There has been a spirit of willingness to share in county-wide club projects, as well.
