INDIANA 461104-1)197 Knimm ». onn 110 VMMXOM July 1, 1987 To the citizens of Syracuse: On behalf of the state of Indiana, I would like to congratulate you on your recent achievement. Through the reaching of a sesquicentennial, your city has proved its strength and its ability to contribute to the future of Turkey Creek Township, Kosciusko County and the state of Indiaha. You should be proud of this accomplishment The city displays those qualities of which Indiana is most proud. The forward-looking approach adopted by the leaders and citizens of Syracuse has contributed greatly to the community business and civic development. Entrepreneurs Samuel Crosson and Henry Ward, through their outstanding contributions to the founding of Syracuse, set the standard for overall community excellence. The presence of the basic American values has been proven through the hard work and devotion of the people of Syracuse. It is impressive to note how through this dedication, Syracuse has blossomed from a small settlement to a full-fledged city. The success of this endeavor stands as an example of the potential inherent in the Hoosier people. Best of luck with your Sesquicentennial festivities.
