Several new service stores have opened in town and there has been new homes constructed in town for the first time in a number of years.

One step forward has been the rezoning of several acres on the north side of town for a possible future development of an industrial park. The board hopes to see a number of small businesse and industries build there, especially those with owners interested in fine lake living. The town has seen the sewage plant upgraded and all other sevices maintainted. Additionaly, the street department will also be experiencing some needed changes and will be in excelent
ting House Bank and identification numbers will be handed out. The number should be placed on the right side of the entry so it will be visible to judges. All winners of the parade are required to be in the Mermaid Festival Parade on Saturday, June 27, at 4 p.m. Parade line-up for Saturday will be given to winners when they pick up their prizes. However, cutie parade winners will not be eligible for prizes in Saturday’s parade. All prizes for the cutie parade will be presented during the Cutie King and the Cutie Queen contest at Clarksville. Awards this year will include a SI,OOO, 16-year maturity bond to the first place in each category, plus trophies to first, second and third place winners in each category.
the next few years. The board has seen the park facility continue to move toward completion, though the mild winters during the last two years have hindered the beach area from being completed. We, the board, have a goal for the furture of North Webster, which is to prevent furtther detriation of Webster Lake, which is the prime asset of the community. This goal is a prime concern of the boards at the present time.
Bonds are being presented by the International Palace of Sports, while trophies are being awarded by the Sesquicentennial committee. Anyone needing an application may call, or visit the festival office, or write to: Cuties, Mermaid Festival, P.O. Box 11, - North Webster, Ind. 46555
