OIKSKXOH j June 17, 1987 To the citizens of North Webster: On behalf of the state of Indiana, I would like to congratulate you on a milestone in Hoosier history. You stand part of an important era in the growth of your community. *• ' ' r North Webster displays those qualities of which Indiana is most proud. The village's dedication to its past, present and future citizens is exemplified in the forward-looking approach to community businessfttod civic development. From the early beginnings of entrepreneur Henderson Warner to the construction of Camelot Square the village has escalated its importance in and contributions to Tippecanoe Township, Kosciusko County and the state of Indiana. w North Webster displays basic American values. Through the hard work and devotion of its people, the village has grown from a small patch of buildings to a full-fledged community. The success of this endeavor stands as an example of the potential inherent in the Hoosier people. The village exists as a "Living Reminder of our Indiana Heritage." Founder R.R. Shoemaker displayed much insight whea in May 1837 he platted the village on the banks of Webstar Lake. r- ‘ . Best of luck with your Sesquicentennial festivities. North Webster represents the best of our Hoosier pride. J Sincerely, ROBERT D. ORR Governor RDO:hjm
