10 YEARS AGO, MAY 11,1977 Members of Barbee Cottage Owners Association board of directors met in the home of Howard (“Rusty”) Koenigshof, Big Barbee Lake. Plans were announced for a boat patrol to be manned by deputy sheriffs and auxiliary department sheriffs supplied by John Hammersley, sheriff of Kosciusko County. Janet Allen was hostess for a meeting of Sechrist Sixty Five Extension Homemakers Club. Julie Badskey assisted the hostess. North Webster Church of the Brethren mother and daughter fellowship was held at Camelot Hall. Guest speaker was Mae Brighthill who told of her childhood experiences and gave readings in Pennsylvania Dutch: The North Webster Fireman’s Auxiliary held a carry-in supper with chili aSAhe main dish. Helen W’arble served the dessert. The North Webster Church of God completed construction of additions to their building enabling classrooms, the fellowship area and sanctuary to be enlarged. 29 YEARS AGO, MAY 19,1967 25 seniors of the graduating class were entertained in the school cafeteria when the North Webster alumni met. Entertainment was by the school dance band and a girl’s sextet. It was announced that due to consolidation the year book, Troy, for 1968 would be the last one to be issuedr tract.
