Card Os Thanks cTficiHfe QJou For remembering me with yourxards, flowers land prayerful thoughts/ while I was in Goshen hospital last week and i since I have returned p me ' NORTHERN LAKES CHRISTIAN CHURCH Thorpe And Karen Mitchell Pastors THOUGHTS CAN BIND By KAREN MITCHELL There are four destructive thoughts that come against the human mind that will cause a normal active, productive individual to withdraw from society, friends, and family They are: fear, guilt, condemnation, and feelings of inferiority. Thoughts that cause fear, guilt, condemnation, or feelings of inferiority are not of God. "God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man”... Where do they come from? The Bible says, 1 John 3:8, that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and he called the devil the father of lies. If it comes to steal, to kill, or destroy, it is of the devil. Jesus came to give life and give it abundantly, John 10:10. The Bible is simple. A rule of thumb is: “If it’s good, it’s from God; if it’s bad, it’s from the devil.” What do you do with all those destructive thoughts? You replace them (II Cor. 10:4-5) with what God says about you. You are, if you received Jesus into your heart, a child of Almighty God. He has not left you defenseless. The word of God is powerful and will pull down all the strong HOLDS the devil would like to bind you with. Fear, guilt, condemnation and feelings of inferiority BIND. These thoughts cause anger, depression, and pity parties; they immobilize! That is exactly what they were meant to do. If 5 you do not know how to protect yourself, come see us, We will show you how to use the word of God to change your circumstances. You can be bound or you can be free. The choice is yours.
