10 YEARS AGO. MARCH 30, 1977 The annual kindergarten round-up will be held Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in the Milford Elementary School. Teachers, the school nurse and principal Lewis S. Immel will be giving instructions concerning the kindergarten program for the fall semester starting in September 1977. The Milford Community Holy Week Services will begin this coming Sunday evening, April 3, at 7 p.m. with the Christian Church serving as the host church. Robert Greenwood, host pastor, will be delivering the Sunday night message “Follow Him to Bethany.” The Milford Area Development Council has a new treasurer. Bruce Bultemeier has assumed the financial duties for the coming year. He replaces Dennis Sharp. The council will again sponsor a Miss Milford in the fair queen contest. Secretary Sally Cline will check into possible candidates. Two films are scheduled for children’s story hour at the Milford Library on- Saturday, April 2, at 2 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd (“Sandy”) Fuller, Stuart, Fla., will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on March 31. The Fullers are former Milford residents, moving to Florida last fall. The Wawasee FFA members express their appreciation for those who supported their recent slave auction; a special thanks to Ronn Beer who served as the auctioneer. 20 YEARS AGO. MARCH 29. I!M>7 Members of the Future Builders Class of the Milford Christian Church met in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Shearer Thursday evening following communion services. President Richard Mikel presided at the business meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Levi Beer, Cynthia Beer, Timothy and Eric Beer, Ron and Artie Clark, and Kim and Lynn Hively spent from Thursday unfit Sunday with Mr. Beer’s brother, Harold Beer, and family at Paxton, 111. Mr. Beer is recovering from back surgery. At the annual spring concert to be held in the community building next Friday, April 7, Virginia Arthur and Robert Hoerr will present solos with band accompaniment. Both are seniors. Albert Graff, who has become field manager for the White Rose Gasoline Products assumed his duties at their station at the junction of Roads 6 and 15, on Monday. Their son entered school here Monday and will stay with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs., Charles Bird until his parents get located. Mr. Graff expects to move his family here from Ft.
