Lester Yoder and Mary Leah Schmucker were married on Feb. 14, 1937, by Bishop David Burkholder in the home of Ezra Miller in Milford. The open house will be hosted by children and grandchildren: Romayne Yoder, Goshen; Miriam Wengerd, Clarks Mills, Pa.; Esther Kern, London, Ontario, Canada; Devon Yoder. Goshen; Pauline Yoder, Goshen; and Harold Yoder, Millersburg.

Meals for Older Americans is for persons 60 years or older and is a chance to meet new friends and enjoy hot, nutritional meals The sites are opened several hours each day including noon for programs. Meals for Older Americans is not associated with welfare but is for the promotion for better health for the older population. Donations are accepted for the meals. The site directors request all persons planning on attending the meals to make reservations by 1 p.m. the day prior to attending. Phone 457-2631 for Syracuse transportation and reservations. Stacy Jean Wall, Indianapolis, and William Drew Dickerson, Indianapolis, exchanged wedding vows in a 5 o’clock p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 3, in the Milford Christian Church. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony were Fred Walls, Milford, and Rev. Leroy Wise, Elkhart. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Brian Wall, Syracuse, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dickerson, Reno, Nev. The altar was decorated with candqjabras and unity candle accented with white roses and carnations, wine-colored tiger lilies, and English ivy with pearls. Janice Pippinger, Warsaw, was organist. Troy Gilbert, Bloomington, was the vocalist. He sang a song written by the groom. Miechi Petro, Milford, registered the guests. The wedding gown, made by the bride’s mother, was bridal satin, accented with appliqued lace and simulated pearls. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice, and Elizabethan sleeves. The full skirt extended to form a chapellength train edged with lace applique. Her veil was bridal illusion gathered to a pearl headpiece. Her bouquet was silk flowers of white roses, wine tiger lilies, pink rose buds, and pearls accented with English ivy. Sonnette Shipman, Indianapolis, was made of honor. Bridesmaids were Judy Clayton. bride; Janet Anderson, Warsaw, sister of the bride; Barbara Adams, Indianapolis; and Laura Broadstreet, South Bend. The attendants’ gowns were wine satin, full-length dresses gathered at the waist with long
Elizabethan sleeved jackets. They carried bouquets of wine roses, pink rose buds accented with pearls, and English ivy. Mike Petro, Milford, was best man. Groomsmen were Tod Dickerson, Reno, Nev., brother of the groom; Kent Kleeman, Warsaw; Chris Wilson, Greenwood; and Hueston Mills, Jr., Meridian, Miss. Ushers were Ed Clayton, North Webster, brother-in-law of the bride; Carl Anderson, Warsaw, brother-in-law of the bride; and Kevin Gerhardt, Warsaw. The bride's mother chose a fulllength mauve dress of soft satin. The groom's mother wore a fulllength dusty rose dress featuring <4 long-sleeved lace over-blouse. Both wore corsages of wine roses, pink accent flowers, and pearls. The Knights of Columbis Hall. Warsaw, was the site of the reception. A dinner buffet and seven-layer wedding cake was enjoyed by 200 guests. Servers were hostess Rita Slankard. Syracuse; Sandra Floyd. Wabash, aunt of the bride; Linda McCune, North Manchester, aunt of the bride; and Linda Gorman. Indianapolis. The bride is a 1982 graduate of Wawasee High School and 1986 graduate of Indiana State University and St. Francis School of Medical Technology. She is employed as a medical technologist at St. Francis Hospital Center. Indianapolis. The groom is a 1981 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and 1985 graduate of Wabash College, Crawfordsville, and of the Coastal School of Deep Sea Diving. He is currently a student of Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis. The newlyweds are residing at 316 Teddy Lane, Indianapolis.
