THE MILFORD Christian School, grades one-six, celebrated International Week last week. Each family worked as a group, researching a chosen country and writing a composition of at least 100 words. Each student took in a project he/she made showing a famous landmark from each country. Countries being studied were Japan, New Zealand, Mexico, India, Egypt, England, Russia, Israel, and El Salvador. It took one month, to put the project together. The students used things found around the home to make them. The object was to have fun and learn about each country. They were then judged by Principal Dale Kuhn. On Tuesday of last week, Don Guard, grandfather of one of the students, showed artifacts from Egypt, Korea, and Japan. Another day Peg Custer showed slides of Germany. Wednesday was native day. The students wore a costume of the country they chose. Some of the costumes were original, some were made from articles of clothing found around the house. Friday was international food bazaar. Each family took a food dish pertaining to the country being researched. In the one of the photos, taken by Linda Musselman, is a replica of the Taj Mahal in India.
