Wawasee, leading Westview by nine, 26-17, entering the final quarter, watched its lead and fifth win slip away in the final eight minutes, as the host Warriors came-from-behind to edge Wawasee, 37-34. ‘We simply played terrible and got beat,” said an ill Wawasee mentor, Dale Brannock. “They played like they wanted to win, and we played like we wanted to lose.” The win, Westview’s first against 11 losses, was highlighted by the offensive play of three Warriors —Julie Jenson, Tracy Fought, and Mona Beaton. Jenson led Westview with 13 points, while Fought added 11.
