? j ■ V f w ■* </ I. Henry T. Miller Rev. Henry T. Miller, 92, 3704 Fairview St., Anderson, formerly of North Webster, died Monday, Dec. 22, at 11:30 p.m. in St. John’s Hospital, Anderson. He was born on September 16, 1894, in Kansas, to Sylvester and Anna L. (Williams) Miller. He married the former Kate E. Wood on June 29, 1922. She preceded him in death in 1980. Miller served with the US Navy during World War I. He graduated from Drew Seminary in 1925 and was commissioned as missionary of the Methodist Episcopal Church to serve in Liberia, West Africa. Miller and his wife helped establish the mission at Ganta. He was a minister with the North Indiana Conference and served churches in Claypool, Wolcottville, Deerfield. Saratfga, Anoka, Uniondale,

The father of Robert Myers, North Webster, and Mrs. Hilda Laughlin. Syracuse, he died Friday, Dec. 12, at 5:20 a.m. at the Columbia City Community Care Center. Myers was born in Etna on March 4, 1900, the son of William F. and Della (Mabe) Myers. He worked at International Harvester of Fort Wayne and in 1965, retired from L.M.L. Corp.. Columbia City. Elkhart. Rollin Hamsher Rollin J. (‘Joe”) Hamsher, 67. 67008 CR 29, New Paris, died Saturday. Dec. 20, at 8 a.m. at his home. He had been ill for one year. The son of Henry and Gertrude Hamsher, he was born in Garrett on November 1, 1919, and resided most of his life in the New Paris area. He was the owner and operator of New Paris Speedway and was associated with Plymouth Speedway. In earlier years, he also owned and operated the H & H Machine Repair in Milford. Following World War 11, Hamsher first opened his race track which featured straight stock cars racing on a dirt surface. A short time later, the track was surfaced and was regarded as one of the finest ovals in Indiana. All types of races, including hot rods and midgets, were raced at the track. Gordon Johncock. a winner of the Indianapolis 506. and local drivers such as Ebe Yoder and the late Gene Darr, along with many others, raced at the track. Surviving are one son, Rick, at

In December 1923. she married Lawrence C. Brown at Huntington. He preceded her in death on December 19.1956. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Tri Kappa Sorority. Alan Aughinbaugh Alan Leroy Aughinbaugh, 30, 119 North Oak St., Columbia City, died early Friday morning, Dec. 19, the result of injuries suffered in an auto accident. [On February 21, 1976, he married Diane Hull. She survives. He was employed at the Dana Corp, in Syracuse and was a member of the Eagles Lodge, No. 1906 and the Masonic Lodge, No. 189, both of Columbia City. Surviving along with his wife are two daughters, Michelle and Denise, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Elbert (Ruby) Quinn, Columbia City. He was preceded in death by one son and one brother. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22. in the Hollingsworth Memorial Chapel, Columbia City. Rev. Paul Copeland of the Free Church of God officiated. Mrs. Silveus was born in Milford on March 13, 1903, to Franklin and Jeannette (Peters) Miller. She had lived in Pierceton for 35 years after moving from Milford. She married Floyd Silveus who died on April 12,1946. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pierceton. Surviving are one son, Richard, Pierceton; and three grandchildren. Rev. Kenneth McGarvey of the First Baptist Church officiated at the service. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home, Warsaw, was in charge of arrangements. Rolland Wogoman Rolland (“Tubby”) Wogoman, 66, r 3, Syracuse, died Sunday morning, Dec. 21, in his home. Death was due to an apparent attack. He had been in failing health for several years. The son of Andrew and Ina (Bushong) Wogoman, he was born in Syracuse on September 4, 1920, and had resided in the area most of his life. On March 24, 1945, he married Ella Dora Campbell. She survives. Wogoman retired in 1971 from Liberty Coach, Syracuse, where he was a truck driver. He was an Army veteran of World War H and was a member of the American Legion, Syracuse, and the Kosciusko County 40 et 8. Surviving with his wife are one son, Clifford Wogoman. Syracuse; three grandchildren; one sister. Mrs. Retha McDonald. Syracuse;, one brother. Nelson Wogoman, Goshen; and a halfClock taken from the Thrift Shop Owners of the Thrift Shop, SR 13, Syracuse, reported the theft of a I’6” clock from the business sometime between 6 p.m.. Thursday, Dec. 18, and 10 a m. Friday. Dec. 19. A panel was torn from the side of the building where the clock was mounted, while a screen door was also damaged during the theft. No damage was estimated. The value of the clock is also unknown.

Services were held this morning, Wednesday, at 10:30 a m. in the Deaton Funeral Home, Bourbon, for Kenneth Summy, 75, 307 North Harris St., Bourbon. Summy, the father of Larry Summy. Leesburg, died Sunday, Dec 21, at 4:17 p.m. in Holy Cross Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. He had been in failing health for one year. Summy was born on February 19.1911, in Kosciusko County, the son of Irvin and Nellie (Lyons) Summy. In 1931, he married Marie Williamson. She survives. A Bourbon area resident most of his life, he had been a custodian at Bourbon High School and Triton Elementary School for 35 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Bourbon Real Services. William Nolan William (“Bill”) Nolan, Fountainview Place. Goshen, and formerly of Syracuse, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, around noon in Fountainview Place. Nolan and his wife, Betty Lou, were married on December 31. 1954. She preceded him in death on June 16,1985. Nolan was a member of the Elkhart City Police Department, employed by Main Channel Marina, Syracuse, and was Syracuse Animal Control Officer for three years. Nolan served in the military. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Sandra Patten,* Ligonier, and one brother, Pat Nolan, Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral arrangements are incomplete this morning (Wednesday).
