Grace trims St. Francis, 68-66
St. Francis gave Grade College a scare Tuesday night, but the Lancers’ men’s basketball team survived, 68-66, in overtime. Grace, now 2-1, led by as many as 12 points in the first half, but foul trouble in the first half kept the game close. St. Francis, trailing 35-29 at the half, took its first lead of the game late in the second half, but the Lancers came back. Junior Ben Teske converted one-of-two free throws late in the game, sending it into overtime. From there, Grace held the upper hand most of the period. Paul Zeltwanger, formerly of

Fairfield prepares for Warriors
.(Continued from page 8)
Knowing this, and the fact that Wawasee would like to press its opponents, Wiktorowski is apprehensive about the teams first game. “Sure we are excited about the game with Wawasee, but it could be a long night for us,” said the Fairfield coach. “They will probably press us, since we young. Still, it should be a good game. ’ ’

Defensively, the Falcons will stick to a man-to-man defense against Wawasee. With Fairfield’s quickness, and lack of a big man, its the best defense for the Falcons. “We have some guards who can play good defense, but our problem is in the middle,” confessed Wiktorowski. “But, if we can play solid defense, we stand a chance of beating them. ”
