Nov. 1. the Lakeland Youth Center sponsored soccer championships were held at Vega Field, Syracuse. Playing in the semi-final B division. First National Bank defeated Campbell’s IGA with a score of 2-1 and Wawasee Kiwanis beat Fish-N-Fun 4-1. ” The championship in B division w as played on Sunday with Wawasee Kiwanis beating First National Bank 2-1. Sports banquet on Nov. 11
North Wood High School’s fall sports banquet, honoring the girls’ cross country, swimming and volleyball teams, as well as the boys’ tennis, cross country and football teams is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 11, at North Wood’s multi-purpose room at 6:30 p.m. A potluck dinner is planned and the general public is invited to attend. The Squirrel’s used a three-yard touchdown run by Chris Peterson and a stubborn defense to turn back the Turkeys 14-0 in the Syracuse sixth grade annual intrasquad football game Tuesday, Oct. 21. Peterson’s TD scemper proved
