10 YEARS AGO. OCT. 27,1976 North Webster Community Halloween festivities are being planned for October 30 by the Heart of the Lake Business Association. Larry Kinsey is serving as chairman. Devotions were given by Mrs. Dan Richards on October 15 when Barbee Busy Bees Home Extension club members met in her Epworth Forest home. Mrs. Ar thelma Marvin assisted the hostess. Members of Efficient Homemakers Home Extension club met October 21 in the home of Mary Sullivan. Della Helvey assisted the hostess. Mrs. Hayes Hidy, Barbee Lake, was hostess for the October 19 meeting of Tippecanoe Township Home Extension club. Mrs. Pauline Gunkle assisted the hostess. Chapter DA of PEO Sisterhood was organized in Kosciusko county on August 8,1973. Mrs. Herbert George, North Webster is president of the local chapter. 20 YEARS AGO. OCT. 26,1966 The annual birthday supper honoring members of the local American Legion., Post 253 was held at the Legion home last Saturday night ,with the Auxiliary Unit preparing beef and noodle dinner with carry-in complement. The birthday cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. Don Adair and served as decorations along with a floral arrangement which was later presented to Mrs. Jacob Krouse as door prize. The Sullivan Park Association at Sechrist lake held a Halloween party October 22 at the Barbee Lake Conservation club house. The children arrived costumed and were given treats.
