Indiana, that the proper legal officers of said municipality at their regular meeting place, on the 21 day of October 1986. at 7:00 P M. will consider the following additional appropriations which said officers consider necessary to meet the extraordinary emergency existing at this time. REVENUE SHARING FUND $50,000.00 Purchase of a new ambulance for the Emergency Medical Service to this com munity. The Kosciusko County Council hereby levies a tax on every person engaged in the business of renting or furnishing, for periods of less than thirty (30) days, any room Or rooms, lodging or accommodations in any: (1) hotel. (2) motel; (3) inn; (4) tourist cabin; located in the county (a) The tax does not apply to gross income received in a transaction in which: (1) a student rents lodgings in a college or university residence hall while that student participates in a course of study for which the student receives college credit from a college or university located in the county; or (2) a person rents a room, lodging, or accommodations for a period of thirty (30) days or more. (3) a religious conference center that does not cater or serve to the general public and that is a Not-For-Profit Organization. (b) The tax shall be levied at the rate of five (5%) percent on the gross-retail income derived from lodging income only and is in addition to state gross retail tax imposed under I.C. 6-2.5. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage with its implementation date to be the Ist day of December, 1986 Section 3- The County Auditor is instructed -to forthwith present a copy of the ordinance to the Indiana Department of Revenue.
