THE MASTER’S ENCOURAGERS — Blaine and Boyd Cornwell will hold revival meetings at Milford Christian Church from September 28 through October 2. Nightly meetings will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend and hear their inspiring messages and songs. ' .
Revival starts Sunday
Blaine and Boyd Cornwell, also known as “The Master’s Encouragers,” will be holding revival meetings at the Christian Church of Milford on Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on Sept. 29 through Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. “The Master’s Encouragers” are unique in many respects. They are twins who were born in Athens, Ohio. Perhaps this isn’t as rare as it seems but the Cornwell twins work as one in an evangelistic ministry as they combine team preaching and singing with team song leading in a very effective way. Their goal is to combine their talents with those in the local congregation for the purpose of encouraging the saints and saving the lost. Since 1978, Blaine and Boyd Cornwell have travelled all over the United States proclaiming Christ in revivals, in schools and in many congregations. Soon after becoming Chris-

tians, Blaine and Boyd arrived on the campus of Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Mo., to prepare themselves for this specialized Christian service. Even though both possess degrees from Ohio University and had taught in the public school system, they counted serving the Lord of greater value. Upon their graduation from Ozark Bible College in 1978 they had experience already as coaches and teachers at Ozark, had sung with the “Good News Quartet” for two years and had served in ministries in Ohio, Kansas, Michigan anfl Arkansas. The public is invited to attend these meetings at which a freewill offering will be taken. "If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” — Matthew 6:14

Rock church is a people place
By GLEN LONG Sports Writer “I feel good about our ministry,” states Rev. Sarah Tuttle, who with her husband, Dr. Gary Tuttle, ministers to Rock Church, on the east side of Lake Wawasee. “Our people realize that other people are hurting and have a willingness to share with others. They believe in ministering to people’s needs as they are.” She added that there is a growing awareness of worship renewal throughout the church worldwide and this congregation, over 80 in number, feels a part of that. The Tuttles have been in Indiana for 11 years, having moved from the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina. The local Rock Church congregation began officially in June, 1981. They met at the Turkey Creek Conservation clubhouse until May, 1983, at which time they moved to their present building on Old SR 13A north of the old fish hatcheries. The pastor said that although Rock Church is an independent church, it is very interdenominaAWANA program underway at Wawasee Baptist School is back in session and so is the AWANA program at Wawasee Heights Baptist Church, located across from Wawasee High School, Syracuse. AWANA is a structured program for kindergarteners to eight grade students. The time includes studies in the Bible, games, memorization, competition and lots of friends. Each student may purchase a uniform and a workbook, providing him or her with a year of fun. A highlight of the year is the AWANA Olympics, where team competition is pitted against other churches in the area. Everyone is invited to join AWANA from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday nights throughout the school year. If there are any questions contact Wawasee Heights Baptist Church, 457-4107.

tional in that the people want to, and do, work together with other congregations, both Catholic and Protestant, to bring the love of God to everyone. “Membership at Rock Church is made up of people from many different backgrounds and the beautiful thing is that they all come together sharing both their uniqueness and the common heritage of all-being God’s children,” stated Rev. Tuttle. She added that music is a big part of the Rock Church ministry. They sing scripture songs, traditional hymns and contemporary Christian hymns. The pastor has written one of the songs which is sometimes part of the service. Sarah also plays guitar and Gary plays bass for some of the music selections. Rev. Tuttle believes the church is where God wants it to be. It is here not because of or in spite of the Wawasee summer visitors
