Council will on September 25. 1986 at 7 00 o'clock p.m., hold a special meeting in the old Courtroom in the County Courthouse, for the purpose of considering the adoption of the following proposed ordinance ORDINANCE NO 86 An Ordinance fixing the Rate of Tax Pursuant to I.C 6-9 18 et seq (County Innkeepers' Tax) BE IT ORDAINED by the Kosciusko Coun ty Council. Kosciusko County. Indiana, that Section 1. The Kosciusko County Council hereby levies a fax on every person engaged in the business of renting or furnishing, for periods of less than thirty (30) days, any room or rooms, lodgings, or accommoda tions in any: (11 hotel. (2) motel. (3) inn (4) tourist cabin located in the county (a) The tax does not apply to gross income received in a transaction in which (Da student rents lodgings in a college or university residence hall while that student participates in a course of study for which the student receives college credit from a college or university located in the county, or (2) a person rents a room, lodging, or ac commodations for a period of thirty (30) days or more (b) The tax shall be levied at the rate of five (5%) percent on the gross retail income derived from lodging income only and is in addition to state gross retail tax imposed under I C 6 2 5 Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage with it's im plementatioh date to be the Ist day of December. 1986 Section 3. Bluegrass Festival Sept. 6 The Warsaw Park Department will present the Country Bluegrass Festival at Camp Lucerne, 800 N. Park Ave., on Pike Lake, Saturday, Sept. 6, from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The festival will feature the “Twine Brothers Traveling Bluegrass Show’’ and “After Class Bluegrass.” The public is invited and admission is free. Concessions will also be available. In the event of rain, the festival will move inside the Pete Thorn Community Center Gymnasium at 800 N. R. Douglas Grant, president, stated that Schieler’s duties would include those of agrculture lending specialist for the bank. Schieler has over 20 years experience in all phases of ag lending in Kosciusko County and Northern Indiana. He grew up on a hog and poultry farm near Remington. Wine claimed she went to the restroom while she was at the Captain’s Place. Pickwick Road, and left her on the bar. When she returned the purse was missing. The value of the purse and its contents was unavailable. In an unrelated incident, Elvie Kirkdorfer, Syracuse, reported the theft of her 10-speed bicycle from the Hook s Drug Store parking lot off of Pickwick Road, after she had visited the store at 4:04 p.m.; Sunday. Aug. 31. The bicycle had a value of $l6O, according topolice.
