Two ticketed at Syracuse after accidents

Three injuries and two arrests took place in Syracuse during the weekend, although no one was seriously injured in the four separate accidents. Up to S2OO in damages was caused to a 1981 Honda Accord, owned by Korde Mortakis, r 4 box 421, Syracuse, in a minor accident Friday, Aug. 15, at 1:20 p.m. Patricia S. Price, 45, 660 Front St., Syracuse, was backing her 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass from East John Street when she sideswiped the Mortakis vehicle 20 feet east of Front Street. No arrests or injuries resulted, while the Price vehicle also escaped damages. Driver Cited Driver inattention contributed to a two-car collision that resulted in injuries to a driver and his passenger at noon Sunday, Aug. 17. Edgar S. Cline, 53, 3808 N. Locust, Muncie, was slowing for northbound traffic on SR 13 when he was hit from the rear by Janice M. Wright, 37, r 3 box 161A, Syracuse, who was cited for following too closely.

Cline complained of pain to his neck and back, while his wife, Shirley, 50, suffered from pain to the head. Both were transported to Goshen Hospital by a Syracuse EMS unit. Up to SI,OOO in damages was caused to the Cline vehicle and he was ticketed for a violation of the child restraint law. Bike Ridden Into Path A Warsaw youth suffered from abrasions to the back when he rode his bicycle into the path of a 1981 Oldsmobile Cutlass, driven by Robert S. Pojeta, 34, r 4 box 188, Syracuse. Webster board holds hearing on budget Members of the North Webster Town Board met briefly Monday evening for the first of two budget hearings on the 1987 town budget. There were no remonstrators. The next hearing is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. for the adoption of the 1987 budget.

Pojeta was traveling west on Boston Street at 3:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, when Jeff Konkle, 13,1817 Nye St., Warsaw, entered his path before he could stop Konkle was transported to Goshen Hospital by the Syracuse EMS and later released. No Damages No damages or arrests were reported in the incident. In an off road collision at 4.35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, up to SI,OOO in damages was caused to a 1980 Pontiac Phoenix, driven by Steffani R. Jamiel, 16, r 5 box 358, Syracuse, and a 1978 Chevrolet Caprice, driven by Katherine D Campbell, 18, r 2 box 512, North Webster. Campbell was traveling east in the Wawasee High School north parking lot when Jamiel entered the lot and crossed in front of her No injuries or arrests were reported.
