Roger L. Sheets MENS LaWiuTunul Roger L. Sheets, 47,1510 Strong Ave., Elkhart, died unexpectedly in his home on Thursday morning, June 12. He was born on July 19, 1938. On June 18, 1961, he married Kayrene J. Troyer in Elkhart. Sheets had been employed as a production manager for Miles Laboratories for the past 16 years. For 19 years, he had summered at Syracuse Lake. In addition, Sheets was an Army veteran and a member of the Elkhart Conservation Club. Survivors include his wife, Kayrene; two daughters, Lorene T., a Ball State University student in Muncie, and Kimberly of Elkhart; his mother, Mrs. Walter (Florence) Zittlaw of Mishawaka; a sister, Mrs. Lowell (Myrna) Rarrick of South Bend; a brother, William E. Sheets of Elkhart; a half brother, Kevin Sheets of Ann Arbor, Mich. ; and a half sister, Kathy Sheets of

Syracuse EMS The Syracuse Emergency Medical Service was called to Kinro at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, when Carol Boyer, 44, r 5 box 112 Syracuse, became ill at work. She was transported to Goshen Hospital. Erica Coburn, 10, 1919 Road 225 W, Warsaw, was hit with a bat at 6:32 p.m. Wednesday. Her parents were advised to apply ice to the area effected and watch for swelling. Connie Losee, Syracuse, became ill on Friday, June 13, and contacted the EMS at 1:31 a.m. She requested not to be transported and was advised to see her family doctor. Vida Thortus, 81, r 4 Box 421 Syracuse, was taken to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, after becoming ill. The EMS was called at 3:58 p.m., Wednesday. Rodney Han, 27, r 2 box 50 Syracuse, was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital after the ambulance was called at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday. Gladys Lohman, 81, 442 Sir Lancelot Dr., Cromwell, was taken to Goshen Hospital after falling. The EMS was called at 12:41 p.m. Saturday, June 14. The EMS was called to PJ’s Pizza, Syracuse, at 5:49 p.m. Saturday, when Gerald Boger, 41, r 1 box 18 Syracuse, fell over a curb and complained of pain to his back, neck and shoulder and suffered an abrasion to his big toe. Blanche Irene Engle Loagtima Warsaw Resident Mrs. Blanche Irene Engle, 82, 723 South Union Street, Warsaw, died unexpectedly at Kosciusko Community Hospital at 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10. She was born on Feb. 3,1904, in Akron to Levi and Cora (Dickerhoff) Harper and had resided in the Warsaw area for most of her life. She married Merl Royse Engle on June 16, 1923. He died on Aug. 10,1961.

She weighed eight pounds, 13 ounces and measured 21 inches long. Bethany Marie is the Kinneys first child. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stoops of Kokomo and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don Kinney, Sr., of Milford. Residing in Kosciusko County since 1968 and for one year in Pierceton, Mrs. Spillman was a member of the Christian Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, both in Indianapolis. In addition, Mrs. Spillman had helped her husband with the operations of the Pierceton Motel and had served for numerous years as a restaurant manager. Before moving from Milford to Pierceton, Spillman was postmaster at Milford. Additional survivors include her mother, Mrs. Ethel Bryant of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Debbie) Parker of Warsaw, and Mrs. Michael (Melissa) LeCount of Goshen; one son, Charles A. Spillman of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and one brother, Ed Bryant of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by one brother. in Bourbon. She survives. Anglin was a retired farmer and retired after 18 years with Vitreous Steel in Nappanee. He worked eight years for the Wright-Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee, was a 63-year member of the First Church of God, where he served as church treasurer for many years; was Scott Township Trustee for eight years; and was a member of the Nappanee and WaNee School Boards. Additional survivors include one other daughter, Mrs. Herman (Donna) Hall of Elkhart; two sons, Kenneth Anglin of Warsaw, and Wilfred W. Anglin of Nappanee; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Alma Parks of Nappanee. He was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd D. Anglin, and one great-grandson. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 17, at 10:30 a.m., in the First Church of God in Nappanee. Rev. Brent Farmer officiated with burial following in Stony Point Cemetery Memorials may be directed to the First Church of God. Thompson-Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee was in charge of arrangements.
