test from the Syracuse area. Raymond Blosser — second place in the softball throw and fourth place in the 50 meter run. Billy Cole — second place in the 50 meter run and second place in softball. Carrie Acton — first place in the softball throw, third place in the 25 meter freestyle swim, and fourth place in the 50 meter run. Ralph Fink — first place in the 25 meter freestyle swim, second place in softball, and fourth place in the running long jump. Debbie Jensen — first place in the 100 meter run, first place in the 25 meter freestyle swim, and third place in softball. John Medlock — first place in the 50 meter run, second place in the softball throw, and second place in the 25 meter freestyle swim. Harold Cole — second place in the 400 meter run and second place in the standing long jump. Carrie Acton, Ralph Fink, Debbie Jensen, and John Medlock will be going on to compete at the University of Notre Dame on June 10-12 for the state swimming meet. Drinking and strokes CHICAGO — Men who drink heavily are nearly three times more likely to suffer a stroke caused by a ruptured blood vessel than non-drinkers, researchers reported recently.

RECORD BREAKERS — Three Milford Junior High track team members broke.county records at the recent county track championship. Buyers saw a return to bodyconscious fashions. Cashmere and cardigan sweaters ate big on the fall scene. The turtleneck sweater continues to be strong style as is the short, | fitted jacket.
