MARCHING ON — Clandia Sanders, left, honorary co-chairman of the 1986 Colonel Sanders Memorial March of Dimes Campaign, and March off Dimes national poster child Scott Cunningham, 7, bring out the buckets to help launch this year’s nationwide fund drive and make it the most successful ever. Entering its eighth year, the campaign has contributed nearly five million dollars to the March of Dimes to help give all babies a healthier future. The campaign kicks off over Memorial Day weekend and continues through June.

Koren Fodder is IBC graduate
Syracuse resident Karen Sue Fackler is a recent graduate of International Business College, Fort Wayne, having received a diploma April 25. The accounting major is a 1985 graduate of Fairfield High School, Goshen, and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Fackler, 15769 US 6, Syracuse. She was also a member of the student senate and accounting club during her tenure at IBC.
UAW retirees hove cony-in
The retirees of U.A.W., Local 1405, met April 3, at St. Martin De Porres Church. Nine retirees, seven guests and four officers were present. Mary Jane Byrd was hostess for the meeting. Clyde Johnston gave grace before the carry-in meat Owen Avery was welcomed back after missing several meetings. He was recently released from the hospital. Bernice Baumgartner, Ruth Sboltey and Avery received birthday gifts. The next meeting win be May 28 at St. Martin’s.
