LEARNING ABOUT COMPUTERS — The Lakeland Youth Center has been sponsoring a sevenweek course entitled Computer Literacy. The class which meets on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. acquaints the students with the key board as well as teaches them the basic commands in computer programming and graphics. With Trimboli are his son, Frank and wife, Angie. The home, located three miles south of Syracuse, was built by the Wawasee Building Trade, which is part of the high school co-op program. Up to 26 students, from Wawasee and West Noble High Schools, worked on the home. It was completed April 1 and is situated in the South Shore Green subdivision. There will be an open house at the Trimboli’s home from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 26.

ANNUAL ART SHOW — Next week, April 28-May 2, in the Syracuse Elementary Gymnasium, Syracuse art students will enjoy the 4th Annual Gallery Art Show. The display consists of representative art work produced this year by first through fifth grade students. Work is chosen for quality of craftsmanship, creativity, and exceptional use of materials. The Syracuse Elementary art department strives to give recognition to those children who have greatly achieved in creative expressions. The community is encouraged to view the exhibit any day from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. The exhibit will also be opened on Friday evening from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Pictured are several of the students whose work will be recognized during the exhibition. Rush was honored at Teachers’ Recognition Night Tuesday for 29 years of distinguished service to the Wawasee School Corporation. He taught math to sixth, seventh and eighth grade students during his career. The event was held at the Wawasee High School Auditorium.
