The New Plaza Marina offers full service to boaters
The New Plaza Marina, on the southeast side of Lake Tippecanoe, is a full service marina which has been serving the boating public in its location 3% miles west of SR 13, 4% miles east of SR 15 and just north of Armstrong Road, 500 N, since 1978. In fact, including the Plaza Marina ownership, a marina has operated in that location for 38 years, having been started by Ben Baker in 1948 and later operated by Frank Cooper, who now manages the business for Plaza Marina. While the marina is super busy throughout the summer months, Plaza Marina has a lot of activity in all seasons. The company will be participating in seven boat shows this spring, including shows in Fort Wayne, South Bend and Marion. An inwater boat show is also scheduled with two other marinas on Lake Tippecanoe for the last weekend in April and the first weekend in May. A large selection of bass boats, deck boats and pontoon boats is on display at Plaza for winter shoppers to take advantage of discounted prices. A feature of the marina is the offer of little down payment required and first payment not due until April. Frank Cooper clearly enjoys his associa-
Little & Clark is now part of Hall & Morose Agency
The merger of the Little & Clark Insurance Agency, located on SR 15 in Milford, with the long-time local firm of Hall & Marose Agency of Warsaw became effective on August 1,1985. This merger combined the 50 years of experience of the Hall & Marose Agency and the 27 years of the Little & Clark Agency into the new organization. The new organization continues its operation under the name of Little & Clark at the same location with expanded services and additional companies from which customers can shop for their insurance needs.

tkm with boating equipment and more importantly, with people. “Woody Drook, sales manager, and all our personnel operate with the philosophy that we like to cater to people,” states Cooper. He continues with the comment that the company is probably best known for selling bass boats, specifically Smoker Craft and Dyna-Trak brands. Probably the next best seller is the Smoker Craft deck boat, which is an excellent combination of ski-boat and part} joat. The marina moves a lot of pontoon boats and has three different makes and models of paddle boats, which are becoming more popular each year. They are great to flycast from and provide good fresh air warm weather exercise for anyone, including some people who have been put on an exercise program by their doctors. A large selection of motors is available as Plaza Marina is dealer for Mercury, Mercruiser and Suzuki engines. Outboard and inboard/outboard Ebb Tide ski boats are also popular. A boating accessory store which handles a large line of boating items is conveniently located by the large showroom at the marina. This helps make Plaza Marina a fun place to zip into via the
The agency represents a number of companies, but the prime carriers are Meridian Mutual, Auto Owners, Indiana Insurance Company and Frankenmuth Mutual Insurance Company. The tax and accounting business of Billy G. Little also continues at the same location. Whether it’s insurance or tax and accounting services customers need, all are invited to stop at the Little & Clark office which is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Wednesday and Saturday the office hours are 8:30 a.m. to noon.
very wide access channel from Tippecanoe Lake for a cold pop and some leisurely shopping on a hot summer day. Plaza Marina has a nice big boat ramp, convenient gas docks and a fine shop, which is managed by Dennis Whitaker, service manager. All mechanics are certified and take classes periodically to keep up their certification. The shop does all types of boat repairs including engine rebuilding and fiberglass repair. Used boating equipment is all run through the shop to be refurbished before it is offered for resale.

Tippecanoe Lake, which are available at winter discount prices. Sales manager Woody Drook and his sales staff enjoy dealing for little down, first payment not due until April and free winter storage thrown in for good measure. They remind all the bass boat fishing season will be here soon.
Large storage facilities, both on and off the premises, can handle up to 200 boats, which are all winterized before storage. A gas driven portable unit can be used to apply heat shrinking plastic to boats for storage. This can also be done at the customer’s site if requested. A visit to the display room full of bass and deck boats and the well-stocked accessory store to dream a little and plan for warm weather activities will help bring summer fun a little closer and may save some money in the bargain.
