Vincent’s Place is new Syracuse restaurant
Tired of fast food, expensive dining and short order cooks who are long on talk and short on quality? If so, you are joining numerous others in the Syracuse area who’ve longed for a restaurant where they can meet, eat and relax without worrying about waiters who hurry patrons through a meal or prices that don’t seem to match the food’s quality. Vince Leo, a veteran restaurateur, will offer such a place in late February as Vincent’s Place, housed in the former Foo & Faye Restaurant building on SR 13, provides a casual setting for those who relish American and Italian cuisine. A native of Maine, Leo has benefitted from his Italian background, learning the secrets of what he calls “real Italian cooking” from various relatives. are well versed in providing both types of food. “We will offer homemade pastas, pizzas, submarine sandwiches, steaks, chops, seafood, ribs and our very own homemade breads,” Leo remarked, adding that all are “moderately priced.” With a seating capacity of 150, Vincent’s welcomes the young and old alike to dine at the family restaurant, with sit-down service as well as carry-out. “Our carry-out service will become popular, ” Leo said firmly, confident that the restaurant’s wide variety of food will become popular to those people on the move. “Phone-in your order ahead and it will be ready when you get here,” Leo boasted. A children’s menu will also be available at the newly decorated restaurant, with lunch, dinners and Sunday brunch being served as well. “We want to attract every member of the family, this isn’t just a place for the adults its for the teenagers and pre-teens as well,” Leo stressed. With convenient parking and friendly service, Leo encourages those just stepping out for a quick meal, those wanting a snack after a ballgame or those jrepared to relax and enjoy “real” American and Italian food to come to Vincent’s. “There’s no other place like it in the community,” Leo concluded.
