Service is important at Campbell's IGA

Everything about Campbell’s IGA Market in Milford says customer service is important. From the wide, two-way access to the large, well-lighted parking lot to the full, courteous carry-out service, every step of the grocery shopping trip to Campbell’s is a pleasure because good, courteous customer service is what Campbell’s management insists on. Phil Campbell is proud of the family’s store and he has a right to be. “We feel we have as good a meat and produce department as any market in the area,” asserts Campbell. “In fact, our whole store is a super operation. Residents of Milford and the surrounding area have supported us well and our 33 full and part-time employees are well-trained in how to treat customers in a friendly and efficient manner. The market is open and available to serve the grocery needs of area residents from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. The four

check-out lanes, including one express lane, are staffed to provide quicker check-out because Campbell’s believes in giving people fast and accurate service. Campbell’s is always supportive of civic programs and projects because, as Tom Campbell puts it, “Support for our town is important to us.” ■*- The Campbell family began its tradition of good customer service in 1951, when Phil’s dad, Merle, bought the IGA store from Earl Wolferman. Phil and his wife, Clarann acquired the store in 1974 and the family tradition carries on with their children. Their oldest son, Tim, is manager of the meat department and Tom is grocery manager and overseer of the store. Phil and Clarann’s daughter, Tracy Miller, helps her mother in the office and fills in as a cashier. Phil says he’s looking forward to watching his grandchildren work in the store, too.

Mutual Federal Savings Bank gives big city services to area

A small town bank with big city services may be one way to describe Mutual Federal Savings Bank, North Webster. Located at the Mid Lakes Shopping Center, Mutual Federal, an outgrowth of its main office in Muncie, offers the customer many services not available in the area — something that has helped them to draw customers from the Lakeland tract as well as several outlaying cities, according to North Webster office supervisor Linda Kinsey. Kinsey has been with the bank since its opening date in January 1975 and has been a vital cog in its efforts to provide customers with ever-increasing services. “We have checking account plans to suit anyone’s needs and pride ourselves on friendly service,” Kinsey remarked. Six different plans are available to the check-writing customer, including totally free checking — with unlimited checkwriting, no minimum balance and no service charge; free s¥< per cent checking — with per cent interest, no minimum balance, unlimited check-writing, free personalized checks and a minimal monthly fee
