LOUISA'S LETTER

Dear Louisa, I have an aunt who is very good to me. She will help me with the children if I have to go somewhere but she will not take any pay. I know she needs money and I am able to pay her but I don’t wish to hurt her feelings for forcing money on her. How would you handle such a situation? L.F.—Miss. Answer: You can buy her gifts. The Webster House... 'A Good Time For AH'

By MARK HUFFMAN Feed & Entertainment Redeem At a time when restaurants are more preoccupied with how they can fit the names of their food into a commercial jingle it's good to visit a place where the customer's satisfaction is the main concern. Upon entering Webster House I noticed that they go one step further than jingles, extending tunes throughout your meal to lend to an already pleasant atmosphere. The sounds of Maclaine and Hodges, noted performers throughout the midwest, can be heard bouncing off of the wooden floors of Webster House's Pioneer Lounge on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights throughout December. Pioneers in their own right, the duo offers a variety of music almost as wide as the menu choices at the Webster House, honoring any requests and serving up tunes from the Big Band era, as well as scores from the 'so's, '6o's, '7o's and *Bo's. After narrowing my menu choice to the Tuesday night special, a 16 oz. T-bone steak dinner, I leaned back to take in a musical anthology. While watching couples dance in the early-American surroundings, the tune "We've Only Just Begun" started, with a seducing minuet from Keith Hodges' saxophone. I too had "just begun” to enjoy an evening of good food, music, and relaxation, as a garden-fresh salad was catered to my table by a courteous waitress, to fill the interlude between MacLaine and Hodges and the main course. A juicy T-bone, with the "T“ signifying "tender" in this case, arrived just as the last crouton passed my palate. Served with a large baked potato and homemade bread, steak is just one of several selections served nightly. Keith Hodges introduced the B.J. Thomas tune "Can't Help Believing" as I took my last bite of steak and I "couldn't help but believe" that young and old alike would enjoy aq evening in the casual atmosphere of the Webster House. In the words of MacLaine, "A good time is had by all." Because Os Christmas Parties, Reservations Very Helpful To Obtain Good Seats...

jewelry, gloves, underwear, etc., are all nice gifts and a good way to show your appreciation. If she has a family and likes to cook, a ham is always a welcome gift. But it’s not the article itself that will mean so much to her but the fact that you take the time to find out something you think she will like. There are very few people in the world who do for others without expecting something in return so you are very lucky to have such an aunt. Louisa Address: Louisa, 80x532, Orangeburg, S. C. 29115
