Legal NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice I* hereby given to all citizens of the Town of North Webster and other Interested parties that the Board of Trustees of the Town of North Webster. Indiana will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on November 13,1905 In the Town Hall-Fire Station for the purpose of considering the adoption of Ordinance #OS-19 as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 05-19 An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 01-2 & No. 75-10 fixing the schedule of rates and charges to be collected by the Town of North Webster, Indiana, from the owners of property served by the sewage works of said town and other matters connected therewith. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF NORTH WEBSTER. INDIANA: SECTION ONE That Section One of Ordinance No. 81-2 which Is Sec. 3of Ord. 75-10 Is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3. For the use of and the service renoered by said sewage works, rates and charges shall be collected from the owners of each and every lot, parcel of real estate or building that Is connected with the Town sanitary system or otherwise discharges sanitary sewage. Industrial wastes, water or other liquids, either directly or Indirectly. Into the sanitary sewage system of the Town of North Webster. Such rates and charges Include user charges, debt service costs, excessive strength surcharges and other service charges which rates and charges shall be payable as hereinafter provided and shall be In an amount determinable as follows: (a) Sewage Rates and Charges: Unmetered User Charges - The sewage rates and charges for users not metered shall be based on the estimated quan tlty of water used on or in the property or premises subject to such rates and charges, as the same Is determined by equivalent single family dwellings. Sewage service bills shall be rendered once each month (or period equaling a month). (c) The monthly rates and charges provided herein shall be applied throughout the year based upon the maximum sewage service required In any month In any twelve (12) month period. For examle, user charges based upon employment of the user shall be applied throughout the year based upon the maximum employment of the user for such single maximum employment month, and the monthly charge to a wholesale metered user shall be based upon the highest volume of flow received by the Town in the eleven months preceding the billing of the current month's service. SECTION TWO Differences arising between users and officials of the sewaoe works that cannot be resolv ed between the user and the official or officials involved may be appealed to the Board of Trustees of the Town of North Webster. The decision by the Board of Trustees shall be binding upon all concerned. SECTION THREE The Sewage Rate and Charges herein set forth shall become effective on January 1,1986 and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and signing by the Board of Trustees. 10 YEARS AGO, OCT. 29,1975 Milford town marshal Melvin Jordan is urging all residents to lock their cars and garage to prevent acts of vandalism and thefts. Recently eggs were thrown in an unlocked car and several bicycles have been taken. Jordan said he has noticed several buildings unlocked while on patrol in the town. A locked door might prevent a theft. Beginning this Sunday, Everett Owens, pastor of the Milford United Methodist church, will also serve the Concord United Methodist church on CR 300 and the Rookstool road. The Ralph Karstedts, the former pastor of the United Methodist church in Our Town, were in Milford last week during the school holiday to allow daughter Beth to visit with her young friends in Milford. Seems like we always have articles to print when youngsters do something bad but we never hear anything about youngsters when they do good. Dr. and Mrs. Makio Murayama of Bethesda, Md., were Sunday and Monday house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Overstedt of Milford. Dr. Murayama is connected with the National Institute of Health. The October meeting of the Juniors of the American Legion auxiliary of Milford was held in the Legion hall. The president, Pat Mishler, conducted the business. Miss Edith Baumgartner of Milford has returned home from a vacation spent in Ottumwa, la., with her brothel and sister, O.L. Baumgartner, Sr., and Mrs. Ray Ballard. A side train trip was made to Omaha. The youth group of the Bethel Church of the Brethren in Milford enjoyed its annual hayride last Wednesday evening. The group met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Smith and from there went north and on through Milford junction. They crossed SR 15 and eventually wound up at the Turkey Creek rest park on US 6. 30 YEARS AGO, OCT. 27,1955 At a meeting of the Milford Chamber of Commerce Monday night at Town Hall, plans were made for the annual oyster supper to be held November 29 at the Melody. Wives will be guests. The town of Milford will hold an election for members to the Town Board of Trustees and for clerktreasurer on Tuesday, Nov. 8, in spite of the fact that only one slate is filled, it was pointed out this week by present clerktreasurer Elmer Hartter.
