Soil Judging team in county contest
The Wawasee Soil Judging team has been preparing for the Kosciusko County soil judging contest which will be held this week at the Tri-County Game Preserve. Team members have competed in two invitational contests during the past month. This includes the Purdue Invitational held at West Lafayette and the Southwood High School Invitational held near Wabash. Local members participating have been Todd Roberts, Debra Schafer, Brian Richcreek, Rich Fifer, Jim Kats, Nate Myers, Cassie Sanders, David Schafer, The layered look Most shops now carry a line to please the stouter woman. Story hour to begin By BONNIE BJELLA Children’s Librarian The first story hour of the season will be in the Syracuse Public Library on Tuesday, Oct. 8, beginning at 1 p.m. The story hour is open to the public. Story hour for the remainder of 1985 will be on: November 5, November 19, December 3 and December 17. Any special programs during these story hours will be announced as they arrive. SYRACUSE CHOIR PERFORMS — Pictured are the 43 members who bring voice to the Syracuse Elementary concert choir. The majority of new students expressed. interest in studying business, the biological, physical and mathematical sciences, and the health professions. More than half of the freshmen hope to find employmeht in business and industry after they graduate, while others plan to work in education and social services.
Syracuse PTO to meet Oct. 9
The Syracuse PTO board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 12 noon in the Syracuse LRC (library), Syracuse Elementary School. Interested PTO members and all board members are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
