the property, but that all potential industrial inquiries contacting the Chamber, KDI or other municipalities within the county will be given a list which would include the properties registered at the office. . Additionally, this building and site register for Kosciusko County will be submitted monthly to the State Department of Commerce for use in determining whether or not Kosciusko County may have a structure or land suitable to the industrial prospects that contact the state office. Property owners may contact the office directly, or have the realtor register the property. Persons registering with KDI, along with their realtor, will receive a quarterly letter of verification. Changes will be made accordingly. According to Chamber officials, the objective of the Chamber and KDI acting as a central clearinghouse is to provide a resource center for local industries wishing to expand and

new businesses wishing to locate in the area. In 1984, the Greater Warsaw Chamber of Commerce office received 60 unsolicitated industrial inquiries. The information on buildings and sites listed did not match any of these prospects needs. Chamber officials estimate that if all the available buildings and sites had been listed in one central clearinghouse, at least two of these prospects might have located somewhere in Kosciusko County. There is no cost for property • owners or realtors to register the buildings and sites in this program. Interested persons may contact the Chamber office to secure the necessary forms for completion. Less time looking CHICAGO — Home buyers spent less time shopping for a home in 1984 than in 1983, according to the Chicago Title Insurance Co. Buyers took 3.8 months to find a home last year, compared to 4.4 months in 1983.
