O' f * * MP « - IF I" '" ~,>• #W£> w* ***■ MS' tr*> Br /* ' STEVE AND ANNIE CHAPMAN Chapmans to be at Missionary Church Steve and Annie Chapman, nationally known recording artists, will be singing at the Nappanee Missionary Church, Sunday, March 10, at 7 p.m. The church is located two miles north of Nappanee on SR 19. The Chapmans will be coming to the church after having participated in a Focus on the Family rally with 17,000 people in Cincinnati with Dr. James Dobson. The Chapmans will also be sharing at a 9:30 a.m. service at the church. At that time Steve will be sharing with men and Annie with the women. Raised in the mountains of West Virginia, Steve and Annie Chapman write, play, and sing songs that deal with interpersonal relationships, using Scripture and personal testimony as their source. The focus of the Chapman ministry is to present a straight-forward message to Christians, through music and song, and to challenge non-believers with the Gospel in a unique down-to-earth “relationship seminar set to music.” Born-again believers since their early teens, Steve and Annie were married in 1975 and became a part of the popular singing group “Dogwood.” As a founding member of “Dogwood.” Steve and Annie wrote the majority of the songs for the group. She toured as a part of “Dogwood” for three years before devoting herself full time to being a mother. Steve ministered for three more years with the group, before stepping out of “Dogwood” to give more time in his role as husband and father. Their first album entitled “Steve and Annie Chapman” and released in April 1981, deals with real-life situations such as marriage, parenting, singleness, worship and finances. “Second Honeymoon" is the title of their latest album, nationally released in the fall of 1982. The theme of this particular recording focuses on the marriage relationship and practical suggestions for maintaining harmony in the home and family. ' the Chapmans live in Nashville, Tenn, with their two children, Nathan and Heidi, and are active members of the Belmont Christian Assembly in Nashville. Pastor Dave Engbrecht invites the public to share in this concert. There is no admission charge.

Honeytree to be at Wawasee

Honeytree will be presented in concert by the Milford Area Christian Singles at Wawasee High School on March 16 at 7:30 p.m. Honeytree is an accomplished singer, musician, recording artist and songwriter. She has been presenting gospel concerts all over the U. S. and in several other countries since 1975. Her clear voice brings a special sense of God's presence to the audience. An accomplished guitarist, she plays a variety of styles in each concert. A concert with Honeytree is a personal experience. The audience gets to know Honeytree as she shares her real self through her songs and what she has to say about her family, her battle with an inferiority complex and fear, her involvement with drugs during her teen years and her conversion to Christ as a high school senior. Her message is hope, healing and selfacceptance through the love of Jesus. She now lives in Fort Wayne and her ministry is based in a nondenominational church, Calvary Temple. Honeytree's real name is Nancy Henigbaum. Her nickname comes from her German last name which, when translated from German to English, means Honeytree. She was raised in Davenport, lowa, in an environment of classical music. Her father is a violinist and a conductor and her mother is a violinist and a violist. Her mom, a folk music lover, started’her on the guitar when she was eight years old. From the beginning Honeytree expressed herself creatively by writing songs and poetry, developing a style of guitar playing which is a blend of many influences. Her songs, written in a variety of styles, reflect a wide range of musical loves from classical and Latin-style to country, rock and mellow ballads. ,- From the hilarious, rocking “Rattle Me, Shake to the sweet and simple “Clean Before My Lord” Honey tree's original songs have become classics. She writes with a unique honesty and a vulnerability which captures the listener's heart. Converted at the age of 18 in 1970 and intensely involved in full-time service since then, Honeytree finds herself among the growing number of single adults. In dealing with special struggles and blessings of
