reconciled, and much unhappiness or even divorce can be avoided with marital therapy. Many couples who seek outside help first see their family doctor or minister who is in more of a position to be objective and is often quite helpful in reconciling differences. If the services of a therapist are sought, however, there are now powerful models of marital therapy that are well supported by research. Certain skills have been demonstrated by research to be characteristic of successful relationships, and marital therapy often focuses on teaching these skills to the couple One of the skills most commonly addressed is communica-

Each of the schools in the system has its own kitchen so no satelliting is necessary. The school system is required to furnish the students one-third of their daily requirements at a level equal to or better than the United States Department of Agriculture standards. The local school system feeds approximately 2,200 students with a well-rounded school lunch each day of the school year. She said that about 85 percent of the student body in all schools participate in the program. Mrs. Kennedy graduated from Purdue University in 1980 with a degree in dietetics. She worked for four years at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club as office manager before coming to the school corporation in November, 1984.
