■ CHRISTMAS REMEMBERED — Three local Kiwanians presented memories and views of Christmas for the regular meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland, Monday, Dec. 24. Picture above are the three members, George Switzer, Dean McFadden, and Don Hoover. Hoover described two experiences he remembered that made Christmas outstanding for him. In addition, Switzer explained the excitement that he and his sister experienced when they came down the stairs to view presents under the Christmas tree one year. McFadden closed the meeting by reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas.” During the reading, he made comments on some of the words and phrases which might give a modern interpretation to this famous poem.
