LOUISA'S LETTER (ȣ/)
Dear Louisa, This is my 4 second wedding. I was very happy with my first husband but he was killed in an automobile after we had been married only three years. We did not have a real big wedding as we were married in the home of the minister and as my parents could not afford one at that time. But now I would like to have a real wedding and feel like a bride and let my little daughter be the flower girl. I do not mean a big wedding but one in the church with a wedding brunch for the family and a few friends afterwards. , What do you think about this? A cousin of mine says she thinks it will be in poor taste.* / -HB.-S.D, Answer: Your wedding arrangement sounds in perfectly good taste to me. There is certainly nothing that you have to hide from the public. Be happy that you have been fortunate a second time in finding a man you love and who loves

you. Louisa Dear Ambition (Tenn.) : I suggest you have a talk with your minister or priest about your problem, which sounds real to me. How do your children feel about it? Are they in agreement with you? If any of the four are older than sixteen, you might want to include them in counseling. I assume you’ve spoken with your husband’s parents, also. They might help. There are organizations available to help women who have been physically abused.* Your clergyman or a marriage counselor or lawyer can give you names and nearest addresses — though it sounds that this part of your problem is past. A good talk with your husband and counselor might be the first step. It’s impossible for me to be more precise. I hope that love and determination to solve this problem will produce a solution. God bless you. Louisa Address: Louisa, Box 532 Orangeburg. S.C. 29115
