Lynn Vangundy becomes bride of Randolph Tesmer on Oct. 20
Lynn Ann Vangundy became the bride of Randolph Tesmer in an exchange of, vows at 4 p.m Saturday, Oct. 20, at Faith Lutheran Church. Corsicana. Texas Rev. Robert Mikulastik officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Druckamiller of Corsicana and Jefferson Vangundy Sr., of Lavaca, Arie, and the bridegroom is the son*of Mr and Mrs. William J. Tesmer, also of Corsicana The altar was decoxated with baskets of roses, carnations and stephanotis. On each side of the altar were brass candelabras. Family pews were decorated with white bows. A program of wedding music was provided by Pat Adams Eric Nelson sang “The Wedding Song" and “The Lord s Prayer ” Maid of honor was Melissa Williams of Logansport Bridesmaids were Joanna Spearman of San Bruno. She chose a designer gown by Alfred Angelo, a formal creation of English starembroidered tulle and lace The gown was Victorian in style with a high neckline and vee shaped bddice of English tulle Schiffli lace motifs encrusted with pearls also adorned the neckline A flounce of wedgewood face with satin ribbon trim completed the bodice The bishop sleeves of English tulle also were accented with star-embroidered motifs and wedgewood lace cuffs. The Skirt in similar adornment cascaded into a cathedral train She wore a Victorian style hat complinjenting the gown, and a strand of pearls of her late greatgrandmother of West Germany Her bouquet was fashioned of peach and white roses, carnations and stephanotis and centered with her going away corsage Attendants wore peach colored gowns with off-the-shoulder bodice featuring a wide ruffle bottom

Amy Ferverdo becomes Nov. 3 bride of Scott A. Templin
Amy Lisa Ferverda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ferverda, North Webster, became the bride of Scott Alan Templin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Templin, Leesburg, on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 12:30 p.m. The 4 double-ring ceremony was held at the Hastings Island Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. David Widmoyer officiated at the ceremony. The altar was decorated with a unity candle surrounded by miniature white, pink, lavender and burgundy carnations. Three pots of burgundy mums and two ferns also graced the altar. Mrs. Fox was the organist and Mrs. Nub Niles, aunt of the bride, was the soloist. The selections included “The Wedding Song” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a gown of sheer polyester, taffeta and lace trim. The bodice featured a stand-up lace collar on an illusion net yoke with schiffli embroidery and seed pearls. The Juliet sleeves were etched in the same lace accents and seed pearls and formed bridal points over the hands. The flounced lace hem extended into a chapel train. She wore her sister’s three-tiered lace trimmed veil which fell from a matching lace caplet. She carried a cascade bouquet of silk lavender, pink and white roses with baby’s breath. Judy Timmons. Leesburg, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore a floor-length lavender gown. It featured a pleated bodice and long organza sleeves. She carried a wicker basket of silk lavender, pink and white roses with baby’s breath. Templin, brother of the groom, was the best man. Meals for Older Americans
Meals for Older Americans are served each day at the following locations: The Scout Cabin. Syracuse; the Pierceton Community Building; Mentone Community Room in the fire station; and the Retired Tigers Center. 320 W. Main. Warsaw. Meals for Older Americans is for persons 60 years or older and is a chance to meet new friends and enjoy hot, nutritional meals. The sites are opened several hours each day including noon for programs. Meals for Older Americans is not associated with welfare but is for the promotion for better health for the older population. Donations are accepted for the meals. The site directors request all persons planning on attending the meals to make reservations by 1 p.m. the day prior to attending. Attend seminar Bobi Doll and Jill Wolferman, both of Bobi’s Shear Success, Milford, attended the 1984 Salon Forum in Grand Rapids, Mich., at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, on Nov. 4 and 5. They attended workshops on color, perming, make-up and a motivational class while at the forum. Mrs. C.S. Myers honored by OES
Mrs. C. S. Myers of Milford received her 50-year Order of the Eastern Star membership pin during special ceremonies held in the Milford Masonic Temple last Wednesday night. Fred Rowe, associate grand patron of the Indiana Grand Chapter, officiated at the ceremony. Mrs. Myers was escorted to the altar by Harold Myers, grand marshal. Her pin was given to her by her sister-in-law, Mrs. George Hartter, also of Milford. She was also presented with a corsage and a copy of the ceremony.
50 YEARS IN OES — Mrs. C. S. Myers of Milford was honored for 50 years membership in the Order of the Eastern Star last Wednesday evening. She is a member of Kosciusko Chapter 160, Milford. Homemakers install officers Busy Homemakers Club met on Nov. 7 at the home of Mrs. Frank Charlton. The meeting was called to order by President Mrs. Glen Pinkerton. Mrs. Vernon May led everyone in singing “God Bless America.” Psalm 100 was read by Evadean Overholser, co-hostess. Mrs. May gave the garden lesson on "Free Fertilizer” and “Some Flowers are Edible.” Twelve members were present to answer roll call with “What I’m Thankful For.” Hazel Johnston conducted the installation of officers ceremony for the new’ 1985 slate of officers. Their other children are JoAnn Paulus, Elkhart and Daniel of Saint Croix, Virgin Islands. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The December meeting will be on the 3rd and will be a Christmas potluck at 6:30 p.m. with each persons attending to take a covered dish and table service. A Christmas grab bag gift exchange will be held. The December stated meeting of the chapter will follow the pot luck.
