10 YEARS AGO, SEPT. 25,1974 Kerry M. Price of Dewart Lake has been named assistant to the manager of the First National Bank of Warsaw, Milford office, according to Robert Boley, executive vice president. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mock of Milford spent a few days with their daughter, Mrs. Richard Monteith and Mr. Monteith of Fort Wayne. The Columbian Reading Circle of Milford met Monday evening in the home of Mrs. Herbert Stump. Present were 14 members and one guest, Mrs. James Alt, whose husband serves the Milford community as pastor so the United Methodist Church. 20 YEARS AGO. SEPT. 24, 1964 Mrs. Agnes Hurd and Mrs. William Leemon of Milford, attended the September meeting of the Indiana and Michigan Veterinary Assistants Association held Tuesday evening at the B and B Restaurant in Nappanee. The Sorosis Club of Milford held its first meeting of the new club year Monday evening at the First Brethren Church in Milford. Mrs. Robert Brown, out going president, opened the meeting and turned it over to Mrs. Otto Wiggs, in coming president.
Adult registration continues
Registrations are still being taken for some adult education classes as part of the continuing education program for the Wawasee Area Vocational Cooperative. Walk in registrations only will be taken through Friday of this week and should be taken to the vocational office at Wawasee High School. There are openings for Monday classes in: Woodworking, Secretary Refresher, Ballroom Dance. Tuesday classes in: Co-ed Volleyball, Basic Ground School, Photography, Advance Sewing, Water Color Painting, and Computer Word and Information Processing. Thursday classes in: Upholstery, Knit/Crochet, Calligraphy, Slimnastics, and Computer WlQrd and Information Processing.Ml of ’the above classes are giyen at Wawasee High School. ' Additional Computer Literacy classes are offered at Milford Junior High and West Noble High School on Thursdays with first classes on November 8. Mail in registrations accepted only on these two classes, as well as walk in registration. Classes will start next week and run for the time indicated for each class. Mr. Clayton is employed with the advertising department of the Elkhart Truth. Mr. and Mrs. William Martin and Mrs. Ralph Berkeypile spent last Wednesday at Indianapolis. Milford volunteer firemen are asking everyone to hold open their noon meal on Sunday, Oct. 10, and plan to attend the chicken barbecue at the Milford Community Building. 50 YEARS AGO, SEPT. 27, 1934 Milford’s Rube Band will play Friday night for the Kosciusko County Fair. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ferverda and Mrs. Charles Sparklin were in Elkhart on Tuesday. Roy Mile’s Night Club at Milford on Oct. 6 will host Hary Guiss Broadcasting Orchestra.
