laws of the Constitution by which we live seem to be continually under discussion by those who would change them, add amendments to them and argue their interpretation. All this has caused lengthy debates by our legislative bodies, angry exchanges of letters in our newspapers and a great deal of uproar over court decisions. However, it should be remembered that although our system of government may not be perfect in all respects, it guarantees the freedom which allows us to engage in these very controversies. The basis of all this is the Bible, which stresses the need for human liberty throughout its pages and sets forth a series of God-given laws designed to help preserve it. Give your thanks to God for our own laws, which were based on His decrees; and do it each week at your House of Worship, which these laws of ours have given you the right to choose.
