OCTOBER WEDDING - Patrick and Peggy Moore, 127 East Shore Drive, Syracuse, announced the engagement and October 21 wedding of their daughter, Kathryn Moore to Michael Manuszak, 1322 Goldstein Drive, Goshen. The bridegroom-elect is the son of James Manuszak, Mishawaka and Marlene Manuszak, South Bend. Miss Moore is a graduate of Wawasee High School and is attending Bethel College studying respiratory therapy. Manuszak is a graduate of Brethren Christian School, Osceola, and is employed at Trava Cap, Goshen. The wedding will be in the Syracuse Church of the Brethren. Averys observe 30th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Owen Avery were the honored guests at a surprise dinner to celebrate their 30th anniversary on Saturday evening, Aug. 26. The celebration was held in Nappanee. Angela Neer, Stuart Wilson married at Wawasee Heights
Angela Jo Neer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Neer, New Paris, and Stuart Grant Wilson, son of Rev. and Mrs. Larry Wilson, Nappanee, were united in marriage on Saturday, July 28, at 7 p.m., in the Wawasee Heights Baptist Church, Syracuse. Rev. Larry Wilson, father of the bridegroom, officiated with Norman McVey, pastor of the church, assisting. The altar was decorated with circular candelabrums intertwined with floral arrangements of carnations, gladiolas, baby’s breath and greenery. The communion table featured a silk flower arrangement with a unity candle and the pews were decorated with pew candelabrums and white satin bows. Mrs. Brice Medlock, Syracuse, provided the organ music and Mrs. KimNeibert, Lafayette, cousin of the bride, sang “The Wedding Song,” “My Tribute” and “Our Love.” Kim Maggart, Millersburg, attended the guest book and Amanda Wilson, sister of the bridegroom, handed out programs. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Mundy, New Paris, served as host and hostess. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of organza dotted swiss over taffeta with a long bouffant skirt. Imported silk Venise lace accented the bodice and trimmed the entire gown. The gown featured pouff Camelot sleeves with a high ruffled Victorian yoke ajjd jieckline and a chapel train. The two-tiered veil of silk illusion, with lace edge, fell from a wreath of silk flowers sprinkled with pearls and baby’s breath, creating the total look. The bride Homemakers entertain Members of the Busy Homemakers Club of Milford entertained their husbands on August 22 at a Goshen restaurant. Present for the outing were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon May, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gawthrop, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Charlton, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Pinkerton, Mabie Tusing, Gladys Miller, Anna Cripe, Hazel Johnson, Dorothy Kinney, Evadean Overholser and one guest, Lavada Lechlitner. Primary Moms to meet in Primary Mothers Club of Syracuse, will be having their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m., in the home of Terri Caldwell. The meeting will include a potluck dinner. Bridesmaids were Alicia Neer and Amber Neer, New Paris, sisters of the bride; and Diane Wilson, Nappanee, sister of the bridegroom. All bridal attendants wore identical sheer gowns of soft dusty pink chiffon over taffeta with Vnecklines accented in delicate lace and pearls. They carried candlelit lanterns with silk flowers and dusty pink ribbons. Elizabeth Ringler, Syracuse, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a white gown of polyester satin with bouffant ruffled full-length skirt trimmed in delicate lace with a pink satin sash. She carried a basket of flowers and rose petals. The bridegroom wore a white tuxedo with tails. His boutonniere was a combination of flowers like those in the bridal bouquet. The ringbearer, Joe Beck, Archbald, Ohio, cousin of the bride, was dressed identical to the bridegroom. the bridegroom escorted both mothers to their respective places. Dr. and Mrs. Max Laudeman and son, Brian, have returned to their home in Kalamazoo, Mich., after spending the month of August vacationing at the Laudeman summer cottage, 70 East Shore Drive, Syracuse Lake. Dr. and Mrs. laudeman flew to Frankfurt, Germany, and spent the month of July touring in Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
