The back cover of the directory displays the Wander Indiana logo and toll-free number to call for tourist information. United was the first telephone company to join the state Department of Commerce in promoting tourism in Indiana. Roger Bebo, left, division manager, L. M. Berry and Company, also attended the presentation ceremonies. Berry is one of the largest independent, directory publishers in the nation and has produced United Telephone Company’s directories since 1931.
