Dan Brown family hosts reunion on July 28
Four generations of Browns from the families of the late Ronald Brown of Milford and his brother, Glenn Brown of West Lafayette, gathered at the home of Dan and Nilah Brown on Saturday, July 28, to celebrate the birthday of Gladys Brown, Dan’s grandmother; Glen Brown; Jennifer Brown, niece; and Amber
Brown, Dan’s daughter. A carry-in dinner was enjoyed by all present and the afternoon was spent catching up on events of the past year; face painting, complements of the New Salem Church bazaar; balloon flying; creek-wading; and hores-shoe pitching. GRADUATE — Lori Yeater recently received her bachelor of arts degree from Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. Lori is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John (Pat) Yeater, C.R. 52, Nappanee, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Sarah Slabaugh, Milford. She is a 1977 graduate of North Wood High J She studied art history, fainting and American and European Literature and graduated from Bard College with a 3.8 grade point average. During her college years, Lori was employed as a writer and layout artist for Upstate Films, an art theatre in Rhinebeck, N.Y., and she also modeled for a New York city fashion illustrator. In her last year of college, Lori was employed as a research assistant statistician for Leon Bolstein, president of Bard College, on his doctoral dissertation. Lori is currently employed at Stanart Sportswear, Inc. in Manhattan’s garment district as a model and an administrative assistant in sales. She is residing at 299 Ave., Apt. 2, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11217 and would love to hear from her friends. Family Affair to be held
The Kosciusko Council on Aging met July 25 in the Center Lake pavilion, Warsaw. President Mrs. James Heaton presided at the noon luncheon meeting. Kenneth Priser gave the table blessing; Caroyle Mason gave the treasurer’s report, Charlene Bradberry the secretary’s report. Amanda Davisson read a report from the nutrition committee. Approval was given a motion to send copies of the report to Real Services, South Bend and to county coordinator, Norma Roose.

Reports were given by James Heaton, transportation; Sue Smith, legal services; and Robert Bluerett, Home Health Care Service. Mrs. Heaton reported on the area queen contest held at Warsaw July 18. There were three queens. Josephine Hopkins, Winona Lake, was selected Area Two queen and will go to the state fair as Area Two representative in the state queen contest. Family Affair will be September 8 and volunteers are needed. The next council meeting will be August 22.
