Wilma M. Slusser Lifetime Area Resident Wilma M. Slusser, 80, r 4 Waco Drive, Syracuse, died at 2:10 p.m. Sunday, July 29, in Goshen ' General Hospital following an extended illness. Born March 24, 1909, in Syracuse, she was united in marriage in 1945 to Harry Slusser. He ■ died in 1979. She was a lifetime resident of the area and a homemaker. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Harriett) Biller, Syracuse, and Kay Pattyn, Leesburg, Fla.; a son Dewey Baker, Syracuse; a stepson, Randall Slusser, Rock Island, 111., 14 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. A son, Dwight Baker, preceded her in death in December 1983 Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse. Rev. Phil Frew officiated. Burial followed in Syracuse Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Syracuse Emergency Medical Service. Mildred 0. Strang Eagles Lodge Auxiliary Member Mildred 0. Strang, 71, Leisure Living Apts.. Milford, died unexpectedly at 4:30 p.m. in her home of an apparent heart attack. Born in Etna Green. June 4. 1913. she was the daughter of Walter and Lilly M. (Buss) Harman. She was married March 19, 1933. to Forrest L. Strang. He died Aug. 28. 1961 She moved to Milford from Edwardsburg. Mich., in 1983. was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. A son, Steven, preceded her in death. Services were held 10;30 a.m. today at the Mishler Funeral Home. Carl Shearer, pastor of the Milford Christian Church, officiated. Burial was in Stoney Point Cemetery, south of Nappanee. Lloyd E. Garrison Native of Syracuse Lloyd E. Garrison, 61/Sturgis, Mich., died 1:04 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, in the Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, Mich. He had heart surgery June 14" Born Sept.' 19, 1922, in Syracuse, he was the son of Mark and Ida (Stevens) Garrison. He was married Dec. 8, 1941, in Sturgjs to Evander Ferrell who survives. A member of the First United Methodist Church, Sturgis, he had moved there in June, 1941, from Syracuse. Garrison owned and operated Lloyd Garrison Associates, Inc., Burr Oak. Mich., for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He had served in the U.S. Navy for three years during World War 11. In addition to his wife. Evander Garrison, other survivors include one daughter. Miss Robyn Garrison. Sturgis; three sisters, Mary Ringler and Helen Neher, both of Syracuse, Olah Wilcken. Tri Lakes; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were held Saturday.

Evelyn Christner Lifetime Kosciusko County Resident Evelyn Christner, 66, r 9 Suburban Acres, Warsaw, died 11:49 p.m. Monday, July 30, in Kosciusko Community Hospital. She had been in failing health since June. Born Aug. 9,1917, in Leesburg, she was the daughter of Frank and Sarah (Thomas) Harman, was a member of Cook’s Chapel Church and had been a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. On Jan. 16, 1945, she was united in marriage to Wibur Christner, who preceded her in death on July 2. 1974. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lila Frazier, Warsaw; two sons. Roger Christner and Jerry Christner, Bourbon; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Hartman and Mrs. Melvin (Lois) Hill, both of Warsaw, and Mrs. Ralph (Estherbell) Krull, Milford; and one brother, Ralph Harman, Claypool One daughter, one sister and one brother are deceased. In Nappanee on Jan. 4, 1919, she was united in marriage to Howard McDonald, who preceded her in death on April 28, 1976. Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren and was a housewife. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Fern) Fervida, r 2 Milford, and Mrs. Russell (Rosalie) Stump, Elkhart; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One son, three brothers and one sister are deceased. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren, Nappanee, with Rev. Ivan and Rev. Dorotha Fry officiating. She died in the Regional Medical Center, Memphis, Tenn, of burns suffered in a July 5 house fire. She died this morning at Fountainview Place in Elkhart. Among the survivors is State Representative Dean Mock, Elkhart. Arrangements are being handled by Harris Funeral Home, Syracuse. Stanley E. Martin Milford Resident Memorial services will be held Thursday at the Milford Christian Church for Stanley E. Martin, 53, of Milford. Martin died Friday, July 20, while visiting his son and family in Stutgardt, West Germany. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Martin, and three children.

Survivors include three sons, Robert B. Hirschman, Frank F. Hirschman and Richard R. Hirschman, all of Indianapolis, and eight grandchildren.

The EMS was called at 7:44 p.m., after Gall was injured in a fall from the kitchen sink. Three persons were transported to Goshen Hospital following an auto accident at 1:45 p.m. Friday, July 27. Memorials may be directed to the Broadway United Methodist the Broadway United Methodist Church in Indianapolis for Gertrude B. Hirschman, 76, of that city. Burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. Mrs. Hirschman died unexpectedly, Saturday July 28, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, of natural causes. Her family were well-known mattress manufacturers.

A victim of cancer, he began failing to respond at 7:31 p.m and EMS were called to the scene. Jim Chimitt, 25, 2379 Four Seasons Parkway, received lacerations to his right leg and heel in a boating accident Saturday, July 28. The EMS was called to the scene at 10:51a.m. Tammera Chsick, 20, r 3 box 342, Syracuse, began experiencing severe abdominal pains at 3:21 p.m. Saturday, July 28, The Syracuse EMS was called to her residence. Three persons were injured in a head-on accident at 8:13 p.m. Saturday, July 28. The EMS was called to the scene to treat the three. Treated were: Cindy Patterson, 19, Tinley Park, 111., head pain, transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital; Patrick Thomas Morganthaler, r 4 Box 76C Syracuse, no treatment; Jay Rhodes, r 1 Warsaw, lacerations and abrasions to the shoulder, transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. v Laura E. Syracuse Emergency Medical Service transported Daniell Gall, three, 8907 Garig, Leo, to Goshen Hospital after the child fell approximately three feet.
