Indiana: Sectton 1. The word garbage as used herein shall mean and comprehend any and all refuse accumulation of animal, fish, fowl, fruit or vegetable matter that results from the preparation, use, cooking of meats, fish, fowl, fruit or other substances. ' Section 2. The word trash as used herein shall mean and comprehend material other than garbage resulting from ordinary business and household operations including such items as tin cans, glass, bottles, ashes, papers, magazines and newsprints, boxes, rags, small cartons and lawn clippings. Section 3. All garbage to be collected by the garbage collection service provided by the Town of Syracuse shall be wrapped in paper or its equivalent. All trash to be collected by the trash collection service provided in the Town of Syracuse shall be placed in water-tight covered containers with adequate handles or bails. In the event trash shall include shrubbery and tree trimmings, such shrubbery and tree trimmings shall be tied in bundles which lengths do not exceed three feet (3') or if enclosed in a container, the maximum size of such container shall not be more than two feet (2') wide, eight feet (8') long and two feet (2’) in depth. Section 4. No items of furniture, large boxes and articles or cans too large for a packer type truck shall be collected by the garbage and trash collection service provided by the Town of Syracuse. All types of debris resulting from repairing or remodeling any building such as dirt, wood, plaster, roofing, pipes, cement blocks or broken concrete are excluded from the garbage and trash collection service provided by the Town of Syracuse. Section S. All garbage and trash to be collected by the service provided by the Town of Syracuse shall be placed for collection by the owner or producer on the collection day designated by the Town of Syracuse in water-tight covered receptacles or trash and garbage bags, but not exceeding thirty (30) gallon capacity and not exceeding sixty (60) pounds in weight. No garbage or trash shall be disposed of within the Town of Syracuse other than pro vided herein and by use of the garbage and trash collection service provided by the Town of Syracuse or other like and equal garbage and trash service to such service being furnished by the Town of Syracuse Section 7. Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined in an amount not greater than the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100) for each offense in any Court of competent jurisdiction. Any person charged with a violation of this Ordinance may, in lieu of being charged for such violation in Court for the penalties prescribed herein, pay to the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Syracuse for the benefit of the General Fund of Mid Town, within forty-eight (48) hours after being charged with any such violation, the sum of twenty-five Dollars ($25) for each such violation. For failure to pay fines as herein provided or for additional offenses, . the arresting police officer shall file an As fidavit in a Court of competent jurisdiction alleging the violation of any of the provisions of this Ordinance. Sections.
