Slower recovery In the latest evidence that the economic recovery is slowing, the Department of Commerce said recently that its index of leading indicators gained a modest 0.5 percent in April, while new orders for manufactured goods took their steepest plunge in four years. Stingers sent Four-hundred short-range Stinger anti-aircraft missiles and a KC-10 military tanker plane were sent to Saudi Arabia to help the old kingdom defend shipping in the Persian Gulf, administration sources said recently.
