Ski tournament at Camelot Lakes The Camelot Ski Team and the Indiana State Ski Club are sponsoring the Midwest Regional Water Ski Championships August 3,4 and 5 on Camelot Lakes. Skiers in ail age divisions will be taking part in the action which will begin at 7 a.m. each day. Over 300 skiers from this area and 13 states around the Midwest are expected to compete. This is the second time this tournament has been held in Indiana. Events to be held during the three-day affair include slalom, tricks and jumping. In slalom skiing, a contestant attempts to complete consecutive passes through a sixbuoy course, with each pass becoming more difficult as the boat speed is increased and the towline is shortened. In trick skiing, contestants perform as many difficult and intricate maneuvers as possible in two 20-second passes through the course. In jumping, skiers attempt to go as far as possible off a jumping ramp. Contestants may qualify for the National Water Ski Tournament and set records at this meet. More information about the event may be obtained from Sue Smith, 38 LaPoint Dr., Milford, 457-5646. Tough drug tests for Olympians Athletes competing in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles will be subjected to the strictest drug examinations in the history of the Games, according to Olympic officials.
